Atmospheric steam sterilization |
The ASXH6200A Atmospheric Pressure Sterilization Chamber is a professional sterilization solution developed for large-scale edible mushroom cultivation factories. It is mainly used for sterilizing mushroom cultivation substrates, such as sawdust-based materials, agricultural waste substrates, and other cultivation media before inoculation.
Sterilization is one of the most important steps in mushroom cultivation. Cultivation materials naturally contain various microorganisms, including bacteria, molds, and other fungi. If these microorganisms are not effectively controlled, they may compete with mushroom mycelium, causing contamination and reducing cultivation success rates.
The ASXH6200A uses high-temperature steam circulation under atmospheric pressure to create a clean sterilization environment. Steam generated by heating water enters the sterilization chamber and continuously contacts the cultivation materials. The heat energy penetrates into the substrate, causing microbial proteins and biological structures to denature, effectively reducing harmful microorganisms and preparing the substrate for pure mushroom cultivation.
The equipment adopts a fully stainless-steel structure. The internal chamber uses 2 mm stainless steel corrugated plates, while the external structure uses stainless steel panels combined with a 10 cm thick rock wool insulation layer. This design improves heat preservation performance, reduces heat loss, saves energy, and ensures stable sterilization temperature.
The bottom structure uses a 5 mm stainless steel plate with reinforced 10# national standard channel steel support, providing strong load-bearing capacity and long-term durability under heavy production conditions.
The ASXH6200A is equipped with a computerized control system that automatically manages:
- Temperature
- Pressure
- Steam inlet
- Exhaust process
- Abnormal alarm functions
After parameters are set, operators do not need to continuously monitor the equipment, which reduces labor requirements and improves production efficiency.
The chamber length can be customized according to customer requirements, making it suitable for different factory layouts, basket sizes, and production capacities.
Working Principle
The BFMXH800A uses spiral feeding to deliver prepared mushroom substrate into cultivation bottles while coordinating bottle positioning, pressing and hole punching.
Loading Mushroom Cultivation Materials
Prepared mushroom substrate bags or cultivation containers are placed into the sterilization chamber using baskets, carts, or loading systems.
Suitable materials include:
- Sawdust substrate bags
- Agricultural waste substrate
- Mushroom cultivation bottles
Other heat-resistant cultivation containers
Chamber Sealing
After loading is completed, the stainless-steel door is closed.
The inflatable sealing system expands to create a tight seal, preventing steam leakage and maintaining a stable sterilization environment.
Steam Generation
Water is heated to boiling temperature to generate high-temperature steam.
The steam enters the sterilization chamber and circulates evenly throughout the internal space.
Heat Penetration and Sterilization
The steam transfers heat to the cultivation materials.
During the sterilization process:
- High temperature destroys harmful microorganisms
- Microbial proteins and nucleic acids are denatured
- Bacteria, molds, and unwanted fungi are eliminated
The equipment maintains a temperature close to 100℃-105℃ for a specific period depending on:
- Substrate type
- Material volume
- Loading density
- Production requirements
Typical atmospheric sterilization cycles require approximately 8-12 hours.
Automatic Temperature and Process Control
The digital control system automatically regulates:
- Steam supply
- Temperature maintenance
- Exhaust operation
- Alarm monitoring
This ensures stable sterilization quality and reduces manual operation requirements.
Cooling and Material Removal
After sterilization is completed, steam is gradually released.
Once the chamber reaches a safe condition, sterilized materials can be removed and transferred to the inoculation process.
