Mushroom Water Injection and Vacuum Rehydration Machines
Mushroom water injection and vacuum rehydration machines are designed to replenish moisture in mushroom cultivation bags after moisture loss during fruiting cycles. Pressure-injection and vacuum-pressure systems are available for different mushroom varieties, production scales, and rehydration requirements.
Water Injection • Vacuum Rehydration • Moisture Control

Mushroom Bag Water Injection and Vacuum Rehydration
Mushroom cultivation bags can lose moisture during repeated fruiting cycles. Water injection and vacuum rehydration equipment helps replenish moisture before subsequent cultivation cycles.
The product range includes two main rehydration methods:
- Water Injection Machines – use pressure water injection through stainless-steel needles.
- Vacuum Rehydration Machines – use a sealed tank and vacuum system to improve water penetration into the substrate.
The conventional injection machines use a dual-head, eight-needle circulating injection configuration. Injection quantity and timing can be adjusted according to cultivation requirements.
The circulating water system allows more than 90% water recovery, helping reduce water consumption and moisture discharge. Nutrients can also be added proportionally to the water when required by the cultivation process.
What Types of Mushroom Water Injection Machines Are Available?

NSMXH1600A, NSMXH1800A, and NSMXH2200A Mushroom Rehydration Machines

NPSMXH700A and NPSMXH1000A Dual-Station Vacuum Rehydration Machines
Water Injection and Vacuum Rehydration Models
Raw material crushing is an important first-stage process in mushroom substrate preparation. Before materials are mixed with water and other substrate ingredients, they often need to be reduced to a suitable particle size.
Mushroom Water Injection Machines
The NSMXH1600A, NSMXH1800A, and NSMXH2200A are compact integrated water injection machines.
Their built-in air compressors are rated at 1.6 kW, 1.8 kW, and 2.2 kW, respectively. Each model uses a 1.1 kW all-copper pressure water pump.
The machines feature:
- Stainless-steel splash guards
- 304 stainless-steel needle holders and needles
- Stainless-steel water tanks
- Pneumatic components
- Dual-head, eight-needle circulating injection
- Adjustable injection quantity and timing
Vacuum Rehydration Machines
The NPSMXH700A Single-Station Vacuum Rehydration Machine uses a sealed water tank and a 900 W vacuum pump.
- Capacity: 400–700 bags/h
- Weight: 93 kg
- Structure: 3 mm stainless steel
The NPSMXH1000A Double-Station Vacuum Rehydration Machine uses a 0.9 kW vacuum pump and provides:
- Capacity: 700–1,000 bags/h
- Weight: Approximately 160 kg
- Configuration: Double station
The vacuum system removes air from the sealed tank and cultivation bags to create a pressure difference, allowing water to penetrate the internal substrate structure more effectively.
Connect Crushing Equipment with Your Substrate Production Line
Raw material crushing can operate as an independent preparation step or as part of a complete mushroom substrate production line.
For larger production systems, crushing equipment can be planned together with feeding systems, conveyors, substrate mixing, bag filling, sterilization, and other downstream processes. Equipment capacity, feeding method, conveyor configuration, electrical supply, and downstream mixer capacity should be matched to the intended production flow.
Typical Process Flow
The main factors are raw material, required particle size, processing capacity, available power supply, and production scale.
Choose and Integrate Mushroom Rehydration Equipment
Water injection or vacuum rehydration can be selected according to the condition of the cultivation bags, required processing capacity, desired water penetration, and farm scale.
The equipment is particularly applicable to shiitake and other bag-cultivated mushrooms where moisture needs to be replenished between fruiting cycles.
The machines can be integrated with:
- Mushroom fruiting rooms
- Cultivation racks
- Water treatment systems
- Conveyors
- Other post-cultivation handling equipment
Machine dimensions, injection quantity, working time, and station configuration can be considered for customization according to specific cultivation processes.
